LIK ROPER was created one day in the late 1980s over bong hits in an apartment building in mountain view - the drummer of ‘PUBLIC PROPERTY’ (a now defunct local band from Palo Alto, California) had left a bunch of his bands' stickers on my buddy's kitchen table in his apartment, and after cutting the stickers up various ways, strange names such as ‘pub proper’ - ‘ubli ope’ and ‘pubic pope’ magically appeared out of the stickers - then, my friend said, "how about lic roper?" and we all laughed - 'lic roper' then became 'lik roper', and the rest is history, so to speak...
