(for greasing the wheels of their developer interests? - click here) - yes; not only has the possibility of redeveloping the entire cosentino's market parcel @ lawrence expressway and homestead road been considered by the city as of late (although i have heard the city council has no plans of approving it) but also the old parcel where albertson's market used to be across the street from cosentino's market; it has been slated for new kaiser office buildings!? (read the KAISER @ HOMESTEAD ROAD AND LAWRENCE EXPRESSWAY (etc) segment below) - and if that isn't bad enough; there are now plans to build a multi-story structure (5-8 stories - see below) at 3700 halford avenue @ lawrence expressway where kohls now resides!? • 25 jan 2007 / LRE REDACTION: I WAS TOLD BY A 'RELIABLE' SOURCE BACK IN DECEMBER 2006 THAT THE SANTA CLARA PLANNING COMMISSION WAS HAVING A MEETING REGARDING THE 3700 HALFORD AVENUE DRAFT EIR ON WEDNESDAY JANUARY 10TH 2007 @ 7PM IN THE COUNCIL TORTURE CHAMBERS, BUT THE 3700 DRAFT EIR ISSUE WAS NOT ADDRESSED AT THIS MEETING!? - I HEARD TODAY FROM THE SAME SOURCE THAT INSTEAD THERE WILL BE A SANTA CLARA PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING REGARDING THE 3700 HALFORD AVENUE ISSUE ON MARCH 14TH 2007 - go to: http://www.ci.santa-clara.ca.us/calendarcm_mar.html - ALSO! YOU CAN VIEW THE RESULTS OF PAST PLANNING COMMISION MEETINGS @ CITY OF SANTA CLARA ~ PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES - LRE NOTE: it is a standard local government tactic to change the day of a meeting after one has told the whole neighborhood about a certain date and time - the city of sunnyvale has pulled this crap on me numerous times; they would often quote a meeting date to me, then wait until i flyered up the entire neighborhood only to change the day of the meeting originally quoted!?...this has happened at least 3 times to me, so it is obviously no accident; this tactical maneuver is a purposeful destabilizing agent used to take steam out of grass roots movements...

GOOD QUESTIONS: why do some in government want to place activists on the same level as terrorists? (see: USA patriot act) - answer: because while terrorists sometimes blow up buildings; activists can stop them from being built altogether, and this is far more threatening to the 'powers that be' ~ also, the SUPERBIRDLAND! segment titled: 22 aug 2006 / RAYNOR PARK AND THE SUNNYVALE PLANNING COUNCIL (see below) has led to height limits for many new developments in cities all around the santa clara valley, so why can't those new height limits apply to this proposed behemoth structure - or is this behemoth structure some kind of sinister payback for those new height limits?...
